After being selected for my local hockey county trials, I really wanted everything to go well, and to make an impression. I had been considering looking for a new stick for some time, and the recent good news was more than enough to force my hand.

I had bought all my sticks since a young age from a shop in town which had recently closed down. As I wanted my new stick to last for a while in my progressing career, I was ready to spend some of my savings at a specialist store online.

I found Nedstar through a Google search and was really impressed by their modern website. Their range of hockey equipment is different to anything I'd ever seen before and I was immediately drawn to the freestyler.

Although a big investment for me at £100, the look and shape of the stick meant that I couldn't say no. I selected my preferred length and placed my order full of anticipation.

Just three days later my freestyler arrived and I've never played with a stick like it. The feel, the weight, the control were all aspects that blew my mind. My trials are scheduled for a week's time, and with the freestyler in my hands, I fancy my chances.
